At the Gastrointestinal & Liver Centre here at Hospital Picaso, you may rest at our daycare beds after going through an endoscopy. Endoscopes are flexible tubes with cameras and lights attached used to visualise and inspect interior organs and tissues during and endoscopy.
At Hospital Picaso, we provide endoscopy services as a less invasive method of detecting and treating problems such as gastrointestinal disorders, urology concerns and more. Our Endoscopy Department offers the following services through a trained team of medical specialists and nurses:
Gastroscopy
An examination of the upper digestive tract, which includes the oesophagus, stomach, and first part of the duodenum.
Colonoscopy
An examination of the lower digestive tract, including the large bowel and the terminal ileum of the small bowel.
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP)
An X-ray-guided study of the biliary system, pancreatic system, and gallbladder.
Endoscopic Ultrasonography
A procedure used to provide comprehensive images of the upper GI tract wall and surrounding organs such as the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and biliary system.
Capsule Endoscope
An examination in which the patient swallows a tiny capsule with a camera to observe the small bowel.
Cytoscopy
A visual examination of the urinary tract, including the bladder and urethra.
Urea Breath Test (UBT)
A breath test used to diagnose Helicobacter Pylori infection.
