The chemotherapy daycare at Hospital Picaso is fully equipped to accommodate the needs of our cancer patients. Located at Level 3A, the daycare is designed to offer full comfort and support for patients to rest and regain their strength. It is staffed by our experienced team of nurses and overseen by our Oncologists.
 

Hospital Picaso Chemotherapy Daycare Services

Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is the use of drugs to kill cancer cells. It also affects some of the healthy cells in the body as a result.
Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy stimulates the body’s natural defenses to produce cancer-fighting immune cells that effectively locate and destroy cancer cells.
Targeted Therapy
Targeted therapy uses drugs to target specific molecules within the cancer cells, interrupting the growth of cancer cells to stop them from spreading further.
Hormone Therapy
Hormone therapy blocks or lowers the amount of hormones in the body to stop or slow down the growth of cancer
Intravesical Therapy
Intravesical therapy is the administering of drugs directly into the bladder through a catheter, limiting the side effects on the rest of the body as a result, usually for early-stage bladder cancer.
Supportive Therapy
The administering of other fluids/medication for cancer patients in need of:
  • Hydration
  • Bisphosphonate administration
  • Blood transfusion
  • GCS-F Injection
CVAD Maintenance
A Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) is a medical device that is inserted into a large vein, typically in the chest, neck, or arm, to facilitate the administration of medications/fluids and to draw blood. We help to maintain the CVAD and change its dressing.
Health Education
Health education is provided to patients, their family members and/or caretakers before and during treatment and from time to time.

By undergoing their treatments and cycles at the Hospital Picaso Chemotherapy Daycare, patients avoid the need for overnight stay, reducing the cost of admission and avoiding inpatient charges. 

Patients have the option to undergo their treatment and rest on one of the comfortable recliner chairs or in a single bedroom. To view the price of each option, click here.
